Chopsticks of the optimal length are easier to hold and use, helping you eat more gracefully.
To find your perfect fit, measure the distance between the tips of your thumb and index finger when spread at a right angle — multiply it by 1.5 to get your ideal length.
- For average to smaller hands: 21–23 cm (8.3–9 in)
- For larger hands or taller individuals: 23–25 cm (9–9.8 in)
Since hand size varies, we recommend measuring your hand as shown in the diagram and selecting chopsticks that closely match your calculated length.
For children, the ideal chopstick length is their hand length plus 3 cm (1.2 in).
Using chopsticks that fit well makes practice more enjoyable and helps them build proper eating habits from an early age.
Since hand sizes vary from child to child, please refer to the table below as a general guideline:
- Ages 3–4: 15–16 cm (5.9–6.2 in)
- Ages 5–9: 17–18 cm (6.7–7.1 in)
