Toyo Sasaki Glass Yachiyo Kiln Yukimizake Edo Sake Cup – 85ml
A Winter Scene, Captured in Glass
Named Yukimizake—sake enjoyed while watching the snow—this handcrafted cup brings a quiet winter landscape to the table. Fine white lines sweep across the clear glass like windblown snow, while scattered gold leaf catches the light with a subtle glow.
Made in Japan by Toyo Sasaki Glass, the cup belongs to the Yachiyo Kiln collection, which carries forward the tradition of Edo Glass. Thin coloured glass rods, long used in Edo glassmaking, create the flowing seasonal pattern. Its gently flared rim and compact 85ml capacity make it well suited to measured pours of chilled sake.
Each cup is shaped and decorated by hand. Small differences in form, colour and pattern give every piece its own character rather than the uniform finish of machine-made glassware.
Presented in a dedicated gift box, Yukimizake makes a thoughtful choice for sake enthusiasts, collectors of Japanese glassware, or anyone who appreciates objects made with a clear sense of place and season.
