Although "Gyuto" translates to "cow sword", this versatile chef's knife is capable of cutting more than just meat. Known as a chef's knife in the West, its longer and narrower blade compared to a Santoku knife makes it ideal for cutting blocks of meat and slicing through sinew. The walnut handle, designed for comfort and grip, also complements a traditional Japanese aesthetic.
Sharpness: This steel knife is coated with a rust-preventive varnish to safeguard its sharpness. Initially, the varnish may dull the cutting edge, but it will wear off over time, allowing the true sharpness to be restored through sharpening.
